Safe edges in the control cabinet 

The automation specialist LÜTZE, Weinstadt, launches edge protection for its AirSTREAM and AirSTREAM Compact wiring systems. Positioned on the RG 035 rail module, the edge protection ensures higher level of safety when mounting and operating control cabinets. 

The new AirSTREAM edge protection is made of a flameproof plastic in accordance with fire class UL 94 V0 and can be simply clicked into the end of the rail module profile. This gives the profile a clean look and the wires do not lie directly on the end of the aluminum profile. It also rules out the possibility of damage to the cable jacket and makes manual mounting very easy. A further benefit is the dual electrical touch protection because, thanks to the edge protection, the wires do not lie directly on the metal. The AirSTREAM edge protection has a recess in the middle that makes it very easy to thread the slide nuts through. The new AirSTREAM edge protection are sold in sales units of 10.

Background rail module

When wiring control cabinets, heavy components, such as power modules, are usually firmly attached to a rail module. To handle this, LÜTZE has the rail module RG 035 for the AirSTREAM and AirSTREAM Compact wiring systems in its product range and the heavy parts are screwed vertically to the rail module.
